Let’s talk about this absolutely stunning Southern California venue and why it makes for such beautiful wedding photos!! It’s quickly risen to the top of my favorite locations to shoot at. So buckle in, let’s do this! We’re chatting all about how the Ebell of Long Beach helps create stunning wedding photos!
My wedding clients frequently ask about what they can do to make their ceremony photos the absolute best possible. And the truth is that the best thing you can do is think about your lighting! In my opinion soft, even lighting is the number one goal during your ceremony. That can be tricky to come across when looking at indoor venues.
As a wedding photographer, this is why I love the space:
It lets in LOTS of light!
The glass ceiling panels of the Ebell Long Beach allow for much more natural light than most indoor venues, and natural daylight makes for great wedding photos! The big white walls then bounce the light all around. That creates flattering light not only on you and your partner getting married, but on all of your guests as well. Flattering light is the goal, and this venue really delivers on that!

Are you ready for more reasons why the Ebell of Long Beach is a great venue?
Well here you go – the whole space is already decorated for you!
Most couples getting married are shocked at the price of florals and begrudgingly compromise a bit on their floral budget. What I love about the Ebell of Long Beach is that the venue essentially comes decorated. All of the greenery you’re seeing (with exception to the florals directly above) is a part of the venue! Some couples choose to bring decor, but as you can see, the venue is stunning on its own.
Let’s chat about some of my favorite parts of Erin and Will’s day and how their wedding photos turned out at the Ebell of Long Beach!
After their respective getting ready photos and portraits, they opted to do a first look. If you’re looking for inspiration for a first look, check out this post! I really love a first look because it allows you and your partner to spend significantly more time together on your wedding day.
Following Erin & Will’s first look, we took their official bride and groom wedding portraits. This is one of my favorite parts of the day! And the Ebell of Long Beach is special because of the many different spaces you can choose for your wedding photos! Variety really is the spice of life, my friends.
Erin’s dad officiated their ceremony and you’ll see how they sprinkled in some funny stories and inside jokes. Notice how they both look so good while they’re saying their vows?! It’s the white walls bouncing diffused light all around them!
The remainder of their special day consisted of beautiful dinner details, toats, and grandma getting down on the dance floor! Keep scrolling, you won’t want to miss these Ebell of Long Beach wedding photos!
All in all, the Ebell of Long Beach is a stunning Southern California venue that serves as a backdrop for incredible wedding photos. It has all the pieces of the puzzle and I’m simply in love!
