It’s time to relish in Tressa and Mike’s fabulous Palos Verdes wedding photography! These two have been together for years and have the most beautiful daughter, who they had along for the party all day. The focus was really on their family and friends who had traveled far to spend the day together. This crew sure knows how to have fun!
Here’s what Tressa had to say:
“Katie takes the time to get to know the clients and how to bring out the very best in them. The engagement photos before the “big event” really got us more comfortable in our own skin and with being photographed. She is professional and also warm and vivacious which translated to putting the wedding party at ease and doing our “best work” – she is obviously passionate about her work and it absolutely came through in the final product. The photos from our wedding were magical, cannot recommend enough.”
I’m going to need a moment to dry my eyes after that sweet review!! While you wait, be sure to check out Tressa and Mike’s iconic engagement session. You’ll see that our girl really rocks a red lip, and in those photos she pairs it with a red dress. That’s absolutely icon behavior.
Okay now that I’ve finished crying my eyes out, let’s get into this stunning Palos Verdes wedding photography!!
However I want to start with a huge shout out to these vendors who made the day possible!
Coordination: Kumble and Hind Productions

Photographing details is one of my favorite parts of the day. It’s when I get my creative juices flowing! Normally I take all of the couples’ details and hide in a corner, but NOPE. Not this day. Tressa and I chatted, along with her mom and her hairdresser. It’s so fun to see my couple in their element – at home with their families.

Mike’s dad loaned the couple his vintage blue Mustang for the day! It’s an absolute beauty and made the ride from Hawthorne to Palos Verdes feel like a movie. I mean, what guy doesn’t want to feel like James Bond and take portraits with a cool car?

Tressa and Mike wanted to venture out to Palos Verdes cliffs for their first look and portraits. I found this palm tree-lined opening along the coast and knew it would be absolutely perfect.

Tressa and Mike flipped the script for their reception and did a sparkler ENTRANCE!
This was such a great idea for this Palos Verdes wedding photography.
For one, sparkler exits sometimes happen after photography coverage has ended. So clients either add on more photo coverage or their exit isn’t photographed. Secondly, having a sparkler entrance is much less dangerous than a sparkler exit. At the beginning of the reception most guests aren’t drunk and swinging around a live sparkler!!

Their first dance was crashed by the kiddos, but I think they were a welcome intrusion!
